Bones Found in Woods

Patrol officers from the Franconia Police district responded to a report of possible human remains found in the 6700 block of Zohra Court in the Manchester Lakes area of Fairfax County. A man was walking his dog in the woods behind townhomes when he came across what appeared to be human remains at around 4:15 P.M. on Thursday, February 12.

The remains will be examined by the Office of the Medical Examiner. It is under investigation as to how long the bones have been at that location, as well as their identity.

The cause  and manner of death will be investigated by the Office of the Medical Examiner. Crime Scene and Criminal Investigations Bureau personnel are continuing with the investigation.
