FCPS Employee Arrested Following Theft of Woodworking Tools

Fair Oaks Police District – Officers assigned to our School Resource Division have charged a Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) employee with Grand Larceny following an investigation into the theft of tools from a woodworking classroom.

On May 29, the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Chantilly High School was notified after school administrators became aware that an employee had allegedly stolen a bag containing various tools from a woodworking class. The tools were estimated to be worth approximately $1,200.

Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division were assigned to assist with the SRO with the investigation. The investigation determined that Trevor Papavasiliou, 34, of Culpeper, committed the theft and the SRO obtained a warrant charging him with Grand Larceny.
