HIT AND RUN, PURSUIT, DWI, New Dominion Parkway/Reston Parkway, 02/15/15, 1:50 a.m. An officer was operating a marked police cruiser south bound on Reston Parkway and was struck by a 2002 Toyota RAV4 at the intersection of New Dominion Parkway. After the collision, the Toyota continued to travel east on Temporary Road fleeing the scene of the crash. The involved officer was able to follow the Toyota where the driver eventually exited his vehicle and fled on foot near the 11600 block of Vantage Hill Road. Responding officers located the driver and arrested him. Rigoberto A. Cruz, 38, of Reston, was charged with felony hit and run, felony DWI, disregard signal to stop by law enforcement, and refusal to submit to blood or breath test.

STOLEN VEHICLES:
9500 block of Main Street, Nissan Sentra.
GRAND LARCENY, POSSESSION OF COCAINE, 11700 block of Fair Oaks Shopping Center, 02/22/15, 5:03 p.m. A man entered a store and was suspected of shoplifting. The suspect fled on foot from loss prevention security personnel. The suspect was located and began to fight with loss prevention personnel. An officer deployed the conductive energy weapon (CEW) and the suspect was taken into custody. Lenard E. Green, 51, of Washington D.C., was arrested and charged with grand larceny and possession of cocaine.
