ROBBERY, 6900 block of Victoria Drive, 02/24/15, 9:13 p.m. The victim was exiting her vehicle and was approached by a man. The suspect took the victim’s property and fled on foot. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as a male of unknown race wearing a dark colored grey hoodie covering his face.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
STOLEN VEHICLE WITH APPREHENSION, 8000 block of Alban Road, 02/13/15, 5:11 p.m. The victim had parked his vehicle and entered the convenience store located within the gas station. The suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and began to drive away. The victim observed his vehicle being driven away and ran out and confronted the suspect. The suspect exited the vehicle and fled. Responding officers located the suspect and arrested him. There were no injuries. Jonathan Mengisteab, 26, of Alexandria, was charged with grand larceny: auto theft.
