MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 5800 block of Richmond Highway, 3/23/15, 4:32 a.m. The victim was sitting in his parked car when he was approached by a man. The suspect displayed a handgun, demanded money and assaulted the victim. The victim ran from his car and suspect got into the victim’s car and drove off. The victim received non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the scene. The suspect was described as black, 28-32, and about 5 feet 7 inches tall. The stolen SUV was a black 2015 Ford Explorer with Virginia license number VBT4540.
