ROBBERY 14300 block of Climbing Rose Way, 04/13/15, 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Three men robbed a 23-year-old man as he was walking. They stole a check and his bicycle. One suspect was described as Hispanic, with a light complexion. He was between 18 and 21 years old and about 6 feet tall, with a medium build. He had long, black hair and stubble around his chin. He wore a white T-shirt, dark blue pants and black rubber bracelets on one arm. The second suspect was described as black, with a dark complexion, about 20 years old. He had short, black hair and wore a black T-shirt with darl-colored shorts. The third suspect was described as black, with a medium complexion, about 20 years old. He was about 6 feet tall and black, unkempt hair. No weapons were seen and the victim did not require medical attention.

POLICE IMPERSONATOR Arlington Boulevard/Annandale Road, 04/11/15. While participating in a DWI checkpoint, officers stopped a vehicle that had law enforcement markings and equipment on it. An investigation determined the driver, a 16-year-old boy, used the car and other property located inside the vehicle to present himself as a law enforcement officer to acquaintances. The boy and his passenger, another teenaged boy, were released to their parents and the illegal law enforcement markings were removed. No charges are pending.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, Soapstone Drive/Stoneview Square, 04/11/15, 6:12 p.m. The victim was riding his bicycle and approached by three men. The suspects threatened the victim and demanded property. The victim managed to flee and did not require rescue. The first suspect was described as black, between 18 to 19 years of age, wearing all black clothing and carrying a backpack. The two other suspects were described as black and between 13 to 15 years of age.

BURGLARY 6100 block of Wellington Commons Drive, 04/09/15, around 4:10 p.m. Police responded to a home for a report of a burglary. A 58-year-old woman reported she had just returned home when she heard glass break from another level of the home. She went to her balcony to investigate and saw a man flee on foot from her backyard. The man was described as black, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a stocky build. He wore a black, quilted jacket. Nothing appeared to be missing from the home.

UNLAWFUL SHOOTING INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING, 10100 block of Pine Street, 04/09/15. Three men were arrested for allegedly firing several rounds from a rifle and handgun in the basement of a home near this location. The rounds penetrated the exterior of the listed home but fortunately no one was injured. Drew Prout, 35, of Oakton; Daniel Sparks, 33, of Ashburn; and Jeffrey Fine, 31, of Fairfax, were taken to jail and charged with unlawful shooting into an occupied dwelling and reckless handling of a firearm. Fine was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a nonviolent convicted felon.
