The Daily Police Blotter for June 02, 2015

ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

CHECKPOINT, Arlington Boulevard/Graham Road, 05/29/15. Officers conducted a DWI checkpoint for drunk drivers. Seven-hundred-fifty-three vehicles passed through. One driver was charged with DWI. Three summonses were issued and one criminal arrest was made.

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 14200 block of Hartwood Court, 06/01/15. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

LARCENIES:

13500 block of Jeb Stuart Square, wallet from vehicle.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

8000 block of Noel Street, merchandise from store.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

6100 block of Leesburg Pike, property from residence.

6300 block of Seven Corners Center, merchandise from store.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 9000 block of Marie Court, 06/01/15. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

7000 block of Little River Turnpike, property from business.

5500 block Backlick Road, powered tools from residence.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES: 

6100 block of Rolling Road, property from residence.

8500 block of Greeley Boulevard, electronic equipment from vehicle. 

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 13800 block of Rembrandt Way, 06/01/15, 10:53 a.m. The victim was in the residence and heard a knock on the door. A short time later she heard a loud noise from the basement. The suspect fled when he saw the victim in the residence. Officers located the suspect and arrested him. James R. Kinlaw, 34, of Falls Church, was charged with burglary, attempted grand larceny and community diversion violation.
