UPDATE – Body Found in Kingstowne Lake

Detectives continue their investigation as they await results from the Office of the Chief Medical examiner regarding positive identification as well as cause and manner of death. Although the investigation is still in its early stages, there does not appear to be anything overtly suspicious and therefore no apparent threat to public safety.

(062715) Body Found in Kingstowne Lake

Police responded to the report of what appeared to be a body in a pond on South Van Dorn Street near Kingstowne Village Parkway on Saturday, June 27 shortly after 11:30 AM. Officers arrived and located the body of an adult male in the pond. Homicide and Crime Scene detectives responded to the scene. Initially, there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body. Detectives will now attempt to positively identify the body and to notify next of kin. The medical examiner’s office will ultimately determine cause and manner of death.
