DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Paddington Lane and James Harris Way. 07/25/15 about 10:00 p.m. Officers responded to numerous vehicles in the area being spray painted. No suspect information could be provided and these are still under investigation.

ROBBERY: 2700 block of Arlington Drive, 07/27/15 at about 6:01 p.m. the victim had arranged to sell some sneakers to a subject on Facebook. When the parties met the suspect ran off with the shoes. The suspect was only described as a Hispanic male. The victim did not need medical attention.
ARMED ROBBERY: 6000 block of Richmond Highway, 07/27/15 at about 12:41 a.m. The victim exited his vehicle and was approached by a man who displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s car keys. The keys were given to the suspect and the vehicle was driven away. A short time later the suspect was located in Washington D.C. and apprehended. The vehicle was recovered.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: 7000 block of Capitol View Drive, 07/27/15 at about 1:11 a.m. A resident reported that his home alarm had activated. The screen on a garage window had been cut. The suspect was described as a male, 20s, white T-shirt, black shorts and white sneakers.

STOLEN VEHICLE/HIT AND RUN/PURSUIT: 6700 block of Alpine Drive, 07/25/15 at about 3:45 p.m. An officer spotted a vehicle excessively speeding and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle disregarded the officers signal to stop. He sped away and struck another vehicle and the driver of the car ran off on foot. The suspect was caught by a K-9 team and taken into custody. Quante Jones, 18 of Washington D.C. was charged with fail to obey highway sign, no driver’s license, felony speed to elude, felony hit and run and possession of marijuana.
TRAFFIC PURSUIT: Leesburg Pike / Patrick Henry Drive, 07/25/15 at about 10:20 p.m. An officer observed a motorcycle traveling in a reckless manner on Leesburg Pike eastbound. When a traffic stop was initiated the motorcycle sped away. The driver eventually stopped and was suspected of being under the influence. Sobriety tests were conducted and the rider was placed under arrest. Robert Ullman, 56, of Falls Church was charged with DUI, eluding police, fail to keep vehicle under control and no driver’s license.
DRUNK IN PUBLIC/INDECENT EXPOSURE: Brook Drive and Patrick Henry Drive, 07/28/15 at about 2:39 a.m. An officer noticed a man exposing himself while standing on a street corner. He was determined to be drunk and placed under arrest. Carlos Castillo, 38, of Falls Church was charged with drunk in public and indecent exposure.

BURGLARY: 1900 block of Crescent Park Drive, 07/27/15 at about 4:09 p.m. A resident reported someone went into the garage and took property.
BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 100 block of Chatham Colony Court, 07/27/15 at about 10:00 p.m. A resident was sitting on her porch and heard a noise in her home. She went to check and saw a male running away from the home. Property from inside the front door was taken. No description on the suspect.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS / POSESSION WITH THE INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE / DRIVING ON SUSPENDED LICENSE: Franconia Springfield Parkway and Rolling Road, 07/27/15 at 12:35 a.m. While investigating a crash, officers determined that one of the drivers was suspected of being under the influence. He was placed under arrest for DUID. The arrested Ebenezer Amare, 21, of Woodbridge was charged with DUID, PWID and suspended operator’s license.
