School Teacher Charged

Detectives arrested Eric D. Pittelkau, 64, of Springfield, this afternoon and charged him with misdemeanor Assault and Battery. The arrest came as a result of an investigation which began Friday, December 18, 2015, where Pittelkau allegedly touched a 16-year-old female student. The student was not physically injured. Pittelkau turned himself in today around 5 p.m.and was served with a summons releasable warrant.
