GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
There will be a sobriety checkpoint in the Reston Police District this Saturday, April 23, from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. Drive Safe.
There have been two lone bear sightings in Fairfax County today. One in the 800 block of Springvale Road in Great Falls around 7:22 a.m and one reported in the 10700 block of Falls Pointe Drive around 10:49 a.m.

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 9800 Block of Georgetown Pike, 04/20/2016, 7:30 p.m. A man entered a Safeway and demanded the Pharmacist give him narcotics. The Pharmacist complied and the man fled on foot. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, mid-twenties, wearing a gray sweater and dark-colored shorts. Responding officers located a suspect that matched the description and the property was recovered. Amith Pinto, 26, of Great Falls was charged with Robbery.

DEATH INVESTIGATION IN FALLS CHURCH
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY/ARREST: 6200 Block of Little River Turnpike, 04/20/16, 9:19 a.m. Two men entered a grocery store and allegedly assaulted an employee. They took property and fled. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspects were described as black, in their early 20s. Responding officers located a suspect that matched the description and an investigation determined that the other suspect was nearby. Both suspects were apprehended and transported to the jail. Mohamed Bishmar, 20, of Annandale, was charged with robbery. The second suspect was also taken to jail but had provided a false name to police; officers later discovered his true identity is Arwaad Elmi Nur, 20, of Alexandria, and has been charged with robbery.
