Update: Warrants Obtained for Man who Crashed Car into Building in McLean
There will be a sobriety checkpoint this Saturday, May 7, in the Mount Vernon District from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Drive safe and stay sober.

CHECK FORGERY & UTTERING: 6000 block of Leesburg Pike, 05/05/16, 7:34 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a woman attempting to use what appeared to be a fake check. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had several fake checks in her possession. April Burkhart, 38, of Manassas was charged with two counts of forgery and attempting to obtain money by false pretenses.

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 13900 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, 05/05/16, 2:09 p.m. A man entered a store and demanded money from an employee. He took cash and fled. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was described as white, 20 to 30 years old, approximately 6 feet tall with a large build, brown hair and brown eyes, wearing black pants and a black ball cap.
