Join the officers of the Reston District Police Station, in conjunction with the North County Government Center, located at 1801 Cameron Glen Drive in Reston, for an open house on June 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. See a police station at work and enjoy guided tours along with displays of police cars, the helicopter, the dive team, the bomb squad, the motors unit, the marine patrol boat and much, much more. Join Us For A Glimpse Behind the Badge
Would you like to learn more about the Fairfax County Police Department and meet the men and women who serve? Join us as we host a three-hour forum on Saturday, June 18, from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Kings Park Library, located at 9000 Burke Lake Road in Burke, Virginia.
Attendees will be presented with an overview of the Fairfax County Police Department and will have the opportunity to gain insight into police policies and procedures. Other topics that will be covered are use of force, what to expect during traffic stops, and the everyday challenges that officers face.
There will also be an opportunity to learn more about FCPD’s full, ten-week Citizens Police Academy, summer programs for high school students, and how to participate in station level Citizen Advisory Committees. COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 2400 block of Fairhaven Avenue, 06/07/16, 2:26 a.m. A man entered a business and displayed a knife in front of two employees. The suspect took money and property and fled in a silver Toyota Corolla with Maryland tags. The suspect was described as black, heavy-set, wearing shorts and a white shirt. The victims were not injured.
