On July 29, officers conducted a grant-funded sobriety checkpoint on westbound Little River Turnpike near John Marr Drive. 610 cars were screened with no DWI’s and three traffic summonses.
There will be a DWI saturated patrol along the Fairfax County Parkway in the Reston District this Saturday, August 6, from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Please stay safe and drive sober.
ROBBERY: 13000 block of Bent Tree Circle, 7/30/16, 5:08 a.m. The victim was feeding a stray cat when he was approached from behind by three men. One suspect displayed a gun and demanded money. The suspects were described as black and had shirts wrapped around their faces. They left the scene in an unknown vehicle. The victim did not require medical attention.

TRAFFIC PURSUIT/GRAND LARCENY/ARREST: Chain Bridge Road/Old Meadow Road, 07/29/16, 4:45 p.m. Officers responded to the Tysons Shopping Center for a report of subjects allegedly taking merchandise. Officers observed the suspects fleeing in a vehicle and they attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The suspects did not stop and a pursuit ensued. Officers were able to successfully stop the vehicle and took two men and one woman into custody. Lawrence Williams, 55, and Julius Prince, 56, both of SE Washington D.C., along with Glenda Bullock, 55, of NE Washington D.C. were arrested. All suspects were transported to the adult detention center and charged with felony speeding to elude, grand larceny, felony child endangerment, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. A child located in the vehicle did not require medical attention and was released to its guardian.

BURGLARY: 12000 block of Kinsley Place, 7/29/16, 12:20 p.m. A resident reported someone entered their home. No property was taken. Responding officers located a man in the area and identified him as the suspect. George Laniyan, 38, of no fixed address, was arrested, transported to the adult detention center, and charged with burglary.
