WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM: 6700 block of Holford Lane, 11/3/16 around 9:11 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a possible gas explosion at a home. Investigation determined it was not a gas explosion. A 56-year-old man accidentally discharged a firearm inside his home. No one was injured. Officers consulted with the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office; no charges will be placed.
ROBBERY: 5700 block of Oak Leather Drive, 11/3/16, around 9:45 p.m. A man reported that while at a park, a man approached him, displayed a handgun, demanded the victim’s bag and took cash. The suspect fled on foot and was described as white, in his 20s, around 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, about 200 pounds, with red hair and a scruffy beard. The victim did not require medical attention.
