BURGLARY: 6600 Tower Drive, 12/16/16, around 12:40 a.m. A woman heard glass breaking in another area of her home. She walked over and saw someone trying to climb through a window. When she confronted the suspect, the suspect fled. There is no suspect description. The victim did not require medical attention.
ROBBERY: 7200 Fordson Road (Quality Inn), 12/15/2016 around 10:44 p.m. Two men entered and demanded money from two employees. One suspect jumped over the counter; the other displayed a gun. The victims complied and the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The victims did not require medical attention.

1900 block of Wilson Lane, 12/15/16 around 8:40 a.m. Animal Protection Police (APP) were called to an apartment for a report of a dog restrained inside a bathroom. Property management went into the apartment for a burst water pipe, found the dog but due to aggressive behavior, could not move it. The owner could not respond to pick up the dog, so APP officers took it into protective custody. Once on a leash, the dog’s aggressive behavior ceased. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY: 6400 block of Seven Corners Place (Corner Therapy), 12/15/16 around 8:45 p.m. A man entered the business and robbed two employees at knifepoint. Before the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and small electronics, he grabbed one employee and prevented both victims from leaving. An investigation determined a second suspect was involved. Officers located them nearby. They were arrested and taken to the adult detention center. Juan J. Archila, 26, and Jerry A. Alfaro Deras, 18, both of Silver Spring, Md., were each charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of abduction. The victims did not require medical attention.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
BURGLARY: 8000 block of Dulciana Court, 12/15/16 around 1:25 a.m. A woman awoke to voices outside her home and someone trying to open a door. The victim called out and turned on a light, but did not see anyone. The suspects left. An investigation determined two days earlier, another resident in the home heard voices outside the home and saw three men trying to open the door. He confronted them and they fled. The suspects in that incident were described as black, in their 20s, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall. One suspect was about 130 pounds, with glasses and shoulder-length dreadlocked hair. Another was about 150 pounds, and the third was about 170 pounds, both with short hair. The suspects were unable to gain entry into the home in both incidents.
