Fatal Crash in Centreville Area
ROBBERY: 13900 block of Gunners Place, 12/25/16, around 8 p.m. A food-delivery man was bringing an order to this location when a man approached him, displayed a handgun and demanded money and the food. The victim gave the suspect what he had and the suspect ran off. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was described as black, about 30 years old, 6 feet tall, and 180 pounds, wearing a green sweater and had his face covered.

Apparent Stabbing Victim in Serious Condition; Suspect Charged
ROBBERY: 8200 block of Russell Road (Mount Vernon Apartments), 12/22/16, around 7:42 p.m. A 31-year-old woman was walking on a sidewalk when two men grabbed her from behind, threw her to the ground, took her purse and ran off. The victim was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries. The suspects were described as black and wore all dark clothing.
TRAFFIC PURSUIT/DWI/POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA/UNAUTHORIZED USE/ARREST: Richmond Highway/Russell Road, 12/24/16, around 8:50 p.m. Officers saw a vehicle driving erratically and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver failed to pull over. Eventually, the officers were able to stop the car. Walter Rodriguez, 39, of Waldorf, Maryland, was arrested, taken to the Adult Detention Center, and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of marijuana and driving while intoxicated.

ROBBERY: Leesburg Pike/Rio Drive, 12/22/16, around 7 p.m. An 18-year-old woman exited a bus and was walking away when a man approached from behind and grabbed her. The suspect threw her to the ground, took her purse and ran away. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was described as white or Hispanic, approximately 16 to 19 years old, about 5 feet 3 inches tall and between 170 and 180 pounds.
ROBBERY: 3300 block of Glen Carlyn Drive. 12/24/16, 1:58 a.m. A 24-year-old man was approached by another man who displayed a knife and demanded money. The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and his cell phone and he was not injured. The suspect ran away toward Vista Drive. He was described as white, in his 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and around 150 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: Arlington Boulevard/Peyton Randolph Drive, 12/24/16, around 7:40 p.m. A 39-year-old woman was walking when a man stopped her and demanded her purse. She screamed and the suspect ran off without taking her property. He was described as black, about 5 feet 9 inches, with a thin build and was wearing black clothing.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 6000 block of Knollwood Drive, 12/24/16, around 10 p.m. A 29-year-old man was walking home when five men approached him and demanded money. The victim refused and the suspects hit him several times. They ran off and the victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The suspects were described as white or Hispanic, wearing dark clothing.
DWI/RESISTING ARREST/DRIVING ON SUSPENDED LICENSE/ARREST: Tobin/Woodburn Road, 12/25/16, around 4 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a crashed car with no driver in it. They located a man in a nearby apartment complex, who attempted to run from them. An investigation identified him as the driver of the crashed car. Roger Antoine Coleman, 22, of Annandale, was arrested, taken to the Adult Detention Center, and charged with driving while intoxicated (3rd within 5 years), driving on a suspended license and resisting arrest.

ROBBERY: 6000 block of Vista Drive, 12/25/16, around 5 a.m. A 37-year-old man was walking home from a store when he was approached by a man who displayed a handgun and a knife. The suspect demanded money and property from the victim and ran off. The victim did not require medical attention and the suspect was described as white or Hispanic, around 35 to 40 years old, with a thin build.
ROBBERY: 4800 block of Beauregard Street, 12/25/16, around 11 p.m. A 55-year-old man was walking to a friend’s house when a man approached him, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took property and money and ran off. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was described as white or Hispanic, 20 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 2 to 5 feet 4 inches, 130 to 140 pounds, wearing a black jacket and his face was covered.

Suspicious Death in Springfield Ruled a Homicide
Detectives Investigating Homicide in Burke
BURGLARY: 6000 block of Burke Centre Parkway (District Camera), 12/25/16 around 1 a.m. An investigation determined someone forced entry through a door and stole camera equipment. Several minutes later, a second suspect entered and stole more equipment. The first suspect was wearing a light-colored long-sleeved jacket, gloves, tight-fitting pants and light-colored shoes. The suspect’s face was covered. The second suspect was dressed similarly.

VEHICLE TRESPASS/LARCENY/POSSESSION OF CONCEALED WEAPON/ARREST: Majestic Lane/Point Pleasant, 12/23/16, around 1:35 a.m. Officers responded to a call for four men who were looking into cars in a neighborhood. An investigation led them to identify and charge three suspects. Estifanos Bisrat, 18, of Falls Church, was charged with receiving stolen goods and released. Louis Blount, 18, of Chantilly, and Delan Cradduck, 18, of no fixed address, were taken to the Adult Detention Center. Blount was charged with vehicle trespass, credit card theft, petit larceny and possession of a concealed weapon. Cradduck was charged with petit larceny and vehicle trespass.
BURGLARY: 3400 block of Sweetberry Court. 12/26/16, 11:37 a.m. A house sitter reported that someone broke into the home while the owners were away on vacation. Several rooms had been ransacked but it is not yet known what, if anything, was taken.
ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT/DISORDERLY CONDUCT/ARREST: 11700 block of Fair Oaks Mall, 12/23/16, around 8 p.m. Christmas Anti-Theft Team (CATT) officers saw a man cursing and making lewd gestures inside the mall. They attempted to remove him from the public area when he became combative and disorderly. Christoper Simms, 18, of Fairfax, was arrested, taken to the Adult Detention Center and charged with attempted assault on law enforcement and disorderly conduct.

The new DWI squad conducted patrols throughout the county from December 19 to December 22 in an effort to reduce drunk driving. 174 vehicles were stopped and screened with eleven DWI arrests.
