FCPD WEEKEND RECAP February 13, 2017
HIT AND RUN/ARREST: Stonecroft Boulevard/Westfield Boulevard, 2/11/17, around 8 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a hit and run crash with significant property damage and an injured victim. Fairfax 1 responded and located the suspect about a mile away from the victim’s car. Quisbert Sanchez, 29, of Fairfax was arrested, taken to the Adult Detention Center, and charged with DWI, felony hit and run, and disregarding a red light. (No mugshot available).

ARMED ROBBERY: 8200 block of Richmond Highway (Aldi Market), 2/11/17, around 6:35 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a man who had concealed merchandise and left the store without paying. A 22-year-old employee attempted to stop the suspect, when he displayed a knife and threatened the victim. The suspect ran off toward an adjacent neighborhood. He was described as white, around 40 to 50 years old, wearing a black coat, gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and tan work boots. The victim did not require medical attention.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY: 7700 block of Suraci Court, 2/12/17, around 11:23 p.m. A 45-year-old man was taking his trash out when three men approached him, demanded his phone and pushed him to the ground. The suspects assaulted the victim repeatedly and then ran off. They were described as Hispanic, around 14 to 17 years old and wearing dark clothing. The victim did not require medical attention.
INDECENT EXPOSURE: 10400 block of Burke Lake Road (Burke Lake Park), 2/12/17, around 1 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a man touching himself inappropriately, while in the park. They identified a man who matched the description of the suspect and charges are pending.
TRESPASSING/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY/ARREST: 7900 block of Patriot Drive (Avant), 2/11/17, around 11 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a man inside a vacant apartment. The property manager noticed the suspect sleeping inside the apartment and knew he did not have the right to be there. Officers made entry and recognized the suspect. Jesus Paniagua-Iraheta, 25, of no fixed address was arrested, taken to the Adult Detention Center and charged with trespassing and destruction of property.

BURGLARY: 4300 block of Wedgewood Drive, 2/12/17, around 1:40 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a burglary. The homeowner reported someone came into his garage and took his bicycle. The bicycle was located at a nearby store, unattended. It was returned to its owner.
