Lieutenant Colonel Tom Ryan talks about Nextdoor
We have had a presence on Nextdoor, the private social network for neighborhoods, since February 2016… and it seems in the past year we’ve made quite the impression! Fairfax County has become the fastest growing countywide partnership on Nextdoor in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.
Nextdoor is a social networking service for neighborhoods. It was launched in the United States in October 2011. In February, 2016 the service became available in The Netherlands. Nextdoor allows users to connect with people who live in their own and nearby neighborhoods.
Lt Colonel Tom Ryan, Deputy Chief of Police, Nextdoor representatives and actual Nextdoor subscribers discussed growth on the Nextdoor network, recognized selected officers and neighbors for their use and participation on Nextdoor and heard success stories where this partnership has proven beneficial to both us and our community members.
