MALICIOUS WOUNDING/ASSAULT/ARREST: 7200 block of Fordson Road, 5/17/17 around 6:44 p.m. A 31-year-old man was approached by another man at a gas station. The suspect yelled at him, then chased and assaulted him with a belt. Jose Santos Alvarez-Ventura, 42, of Alexandria, was arrested and taken to the Adult Detention Center. He was charged with malicious wounding, assault and battery, and drunk in public. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
