BURGLARY: 8300 block of Old Courthouse Road, 7/12/17 around 10 p.m. Someone broke into a building and attempted to steal copper pipes. Detectives are investigating.
BURGLARIES OF OCCUPIED DWELLINGS/ARREST: 9100 and 9200 blocks of Topaz Street, 7/13/17 between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. Police were called after a woman discovered someone was inside her home. Officers checked the home and surrounding area extensively and found the suspect. While investigating, they also found at least one other home had been broken into while someone was home. Abdurahman Nur, 22, of Fairfax, was charged with two counts of burglary, grand larceny, and destruction of property.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
STOLEN VEHICLE/NARCOTICS VIOLATION/ARREST: 10600 block of Braddock Road (University Mall), 7/13/17 around 11 p.m. Officers from the Neighborhood Patrol Unit saw a man enter a vehicle that was reported stolen out of the City of Fairfax. Raymond Braxton, 26, of Burke, was arrested and charged with receiving of stolen property and possession of PCP and marijuana.
