WEEKEND RECAP Monday, August 7
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH ARREST: Around 12:15 Friday morning a man walked out of an establishment in the 13800 block of Braddock Road with an alcoholic beverage. When staff confronted the man he began to argue. As the argument continued the man picked up a bottle and threw it at an employee causing a laceration. Police arrived on scene and took 22-year-old Christopher Dean into custody. Dean was taken to the Adult Detention Center. The victim was treated for his injuries.
ROBBERY: Around 9:30 Friday night the victim was doing chores in the 5700 block of Woodcreek Lane when she was approached by two juvenile males. The boy asked to use her cellphone, and the victim assisted. Following this the boy then snatched the phone from the victim’s hand. The victim was able to regain possession of the phone and struggle ensued. Due to the struggle the second suspect went to her car and took bags. The suspects then ran away with the bags and other property. The suspects are described a juvenile black males, between 15 and 18 years old. The first was said to be tall, skinny, wearing a black shirt and shorts. The second was shorter and heavier, wearing black clothes.
BURGLARY: Between 11:00 Friday night and 2:00 Saturday morning, someone entered the house in the 14300 block of Winding Woods Court and took video game systems.

BURGLARY: Early Friday morning officers found a door open at a business in the 6500 block of Richmond Highway. Employees quickly came to the store and found money missing. Review of cameras showed a man walking in the building. The suspect is described as a light skin black male, between 30 and 36 years old, 5 foot 10 inches to 6 foot tall, 145 to 155 pounds, wearing a tank top, and carrying a back pack.
FRAUD-SKIMMING DEVICE: Around 4:00 Friday afternoon, a customer at a store in the 6300 block of South Kings Highway attempted to use his ATM card at the kiosk when it became stuck. He attempted to retrieve his card and began to pull on the card when the receiver cracked. Staff at the business were notified. Detectives went to the location and were able to identify the skimmer as well as a camera that were in the device.
BURGLARY: Around 11:30 Friday night the victim was alerted when she heard a noise in the kitchen of the house, which is located in the 3100 block of Jackies Lane. When she went to investigate the noise, she saw a man attempting to climb in the kitchen window. The victim described the suspect as a 40 year old middle eastern with a round face, bald, brown eyes, about 5 foot 10 inches tall, 175 pounds, wearing a dark T-shirt.
BURGLARY: Between 4:00 Saturday afternoon and 11:00 Sunday morning, someone broke into the business in the 6100 block of Richmond Highway. An investigation shows that someone forced entry in to the business, and stole money.

BURGLARY: At 4:15 Sunday morning, cameras on the home in the 8400 block of Portland Place captured an unknown person walking toward the home. The suspect described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, baseball cap, dark pants, and possibly a mask, went into the open garage and stole money from the victim’s vehicle.
BURGLARY: The homeowner of the house in the 2100 block of Amber Meadows Drive heard someone knock on the door around 3:00 Friday afternoon. When she went to see who was there, but did not answer. A short time later she heard a persistent banging around the back of the house. She went to see what was causing the noise, and found the two suspects attempting to force entry to the basement door. A 9-1-1 call was placed, but the suspects left prior to police arrival. One of the suspects are described as being a black man, between 35 and 38 years old, 5 foot 10 inches to 6 foot tall, weighing between 160 and 175 pounds.

BURGLARY: Friday morning around 9:00 the victims left their home in the 7800 block of Ridgewood Drive, for the day. Around 7:00 that evening the victims returned home and found that someone had forced their way into the house, and took jewelry and a laptop.

BURGLARY: Friday afternoon around 3:00, the family returned home to their house in the 6100 block of Deer Ridge Trail, and found that the home had been broken into by forced entry. As they went into the house they found items strewn around the house and other items were missing.
