CARJACKING WITH APPREHENSION: 3000 block of Furman Lane, 8/19/17 around 12:15 a.m. The victim was walking from her car when she was approached by two men. The men grabbed the victim, pushed her to her knees, and the suspects demanded money. The suspects took the victim’s car keys and wallet, then left in her vehicle. A short time later 19-year-old John Williams, of District Heights, Maryland and 17-year-old , were both taken into custody.
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY WITH APPREHENSION: 6946 South Kings Highway, 8/20/17 around 2:30 a.m. 39-year-old Arvel Caldwell went into the 7-Eleven on South Kings Highway and appeared to make a purchase. When the clerk went to ring up the item, Caldwell jumped over the counter and began to take the money from the register and left in a getaway car parked outside. Not long after the robbery both Caldwell and 56-year-old Ronald Carter, the getaway driver, were taken into custody. Both Caldwell and Carter are from Washington D.C.

ROBBERY: 7000 block of Rhoden Court, 8/19/17 around 1:00 a.m. The victim was walking home when a red four-door pulled up in front of the building. Two people got out of the car and walked toward the victim. One suspect pulled out a handgun and began demanding money. The second suspect then went into the victim’s pockets and took multiple items, including money. The suspects then got back in the car and left. The first suspect was described as a black male, about 18 to 22 years old, about 5 foot 6 inches tall, and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds. The second suspect was said to be a white male, 17 to 19 years old, also about 5 foot 6 inches tall, and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds.
BURGLARY: 6400 block of Telegraph Road, 7/25/17 – 8/18/17 between 5:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The victims were away on vacation and returned to find their home had been burglarized. Jewelry and electronics were taken from the home.

BURGLARY: 3700 block Golf Trail Lane, 8/16/17 – 8/17/17 between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Staff reported that sometime during the night someone had broken into the concession stand and stole beer.
