RECKLESS DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM: Apple Tree Drive and Willowood Lane around 1:00 p.m. A citizen reported hearing noises that sounded like gunshots. Police searched the area and discovered several shell casings on the ground. 2 vehicles were seen in the area speeding away. The investigation is ongoing.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY/ARREST: 11950 Grand Commons Ave around 7:40 a.m. Police were called to the REI store for a burglary alarm. Officers searched the business and found a man inside who did not work for the store. Stephen White, 26 year old of Capital Heights, Maryland was charged with burglary and attempting to sell stolen property.
