CHECK FRAUD/PURSUIT: 6225 Brandon Avenue. 9/18/17, around 2:50 p.m. A woman went into Navy Federal Credit Union and attempted to cash a fraudulent check. When the tellers refused to cash the check, the woman left. As she walked away from the bank, an officer attempted to stop her but she got into a gray Ford Mustang. When another officer arrived, they blocked the parking lot exit with a police car. The suspect then drove the Mustang into a police car. The police car then hit an officer. The suspect fled in the Mustang and was last seen going toward Commerce Street. The officer did not require medical attention. The investigation is ongoing.
