ARMED ROBBERY: 7800 block of Richmond Highway, 9/24/17, around 12:40 a.m. The victim was sitting on the curb using her cell phone when the suspect approached her from behind. The suspect grabbed her wallet that was on the ground next to her. He pointed a knife at her and grabbed the cell phone from her. The suspect ran to a nearby bicycle and rode off. The suspect is described as a black male, around 30 years old, wearing a t-shirt and black hat.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 6700 block of Tower Road, 9/25/17 around 12:20 a.m. Officers responded to the address for a report of a person being stabbed. They found a victim with multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Alexander Nartatez, 50, was arrested at the address. He was transported the Adult Detention Center and charged with aggravated malicious wounding. He is held on no bond. The incident is domestic related.

WARRANT/ARREST: Eureka Court and Sacramento Drive, 9/25/17 around 6:15 p.m. Officers attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle which was driven by a person wanted by Virginia State Police. The driver of the vehicle was previously involved in a hit and run on 9/19/17. The driver of the vehicle then attempted to run away and was arrested by officers. 26 year-old, Jeffrey Cunningham of Alexandria, Virginia was charged with disregarding signal by law enforcement officer and duty of driver to stop in event of accident involving injury or death or damage to attended property.

ARMED ROBBERY: 4100 block of Wadsworth Court, 9/23/17 around 2:40 p.m. A group of juveniles was walking along a path in the woods behind a building when they were approached by two Hispanic men. One of the men pulled a gun on the group and demanded their cell phones and other property they had with them. The boys handed over the items and the men ran away on the trail. The suspects are described as both Hispanic, 17 – 19 years old, both around 5 feet 6 inches, one was wearing a black t-shirt with the word “Thrasher” written across the front. The other suspect had dark curly hair.
BURGLARY: 6000 block of Columbia Pike, 9/23/17 between 6:30 p.m. to 11:20 p.m. A Homeowner returned home from work and discovered her bedroom was in disarray. An undisclosed amount of cash and various items were taken. Evidence was gathered at the scene for processing. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED STRONG ARMED ROBBERY: Franconia Springfield Parkway, 9/25/17 around 10:00 p.m. A man was sitting on top of the pedestrian bridge when a stranger walked up to him and tried to take his cell phone. A struggle ensued between the men. When the stranger was not able to take the cell phone he left. The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspect is described as a black male, between 5’0 ft to 5’7 ft, short hair, trimmed beard, wearing black pants and a black long sleeved shirt.
