UNLAWFUL ENTRY/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: 5900 block of Grand Pavilion Way, 9/25/17 around 6:00 p.m. A man entered a building only open to residents. While the man was inside the building, he caused damage to the property. The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, 6’0 ft to 6’2 ft, 200 pounds, wearing black jeans, light gray long sleeve shirt with a dark blue ‘Champion’ zip up sweater and black sneakers.

ROBBERY: 13470 Coppermine Road, 9/25/17, around 4:15 a.m. A man entered the Sunoco gas station, demanded the employee turn on a gas pump for him but refused to pay. The employee refused and the suspect became angry. He yelled that he was a U.S. Marshall however did not show any credentials. The suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register when it was open and left the gas station in a yellow Challenger. While officers were investigating this robbery, other officers were dispatched to a nearby Embassy Suites for a report of a man acting disorderly in the lobby. The description of the suspect and vehicle at that incident matched those from the robbery at the gas station. Officers responded to the Embassy Suites and found the yellow Challenger in the parking lot. They knocked on the hotel room and attempted to talk to the suspect. He disregarded commands from the officers and pushed them in an attempt to walk past them. Ryan Charles Benson, 37-years-old, of New Hampshire, was taken into custody, transported to the Adult Detention Center and charged with one count of Robbery and two counts of Assault on Police Officer.

COMMERICAL BURGLARY: 6701 Loisdale Rd, 9/258/17 around 2:45 p.m. Officers responded to Cool Kicks store for a burglary alarm. When officers arrived at the store they saw a smashed window which was used to gain entry. Security cameras captured 2 people entering and leaving the store wearing masks. The investigation is ongoing.
