SULLY DISTRICT STATION

BRANDISHING/ARREST: 6900 block of Sharpsburg Drive, 11/18/17 around 12 a.m. An ongoing dispute between two men escalated with one pointing a gun at the other. Jorge Sanchez, 48, was arrested and charged with brandishing a firearm.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY: 8600 block of Cushman Place, 11/17/17 around 5:00 a.m.  Someone entered the residence and took clothing.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: 7900 block of Audubon Avenue, 11/17/17 around 9 a.m. A resident heard noises and looked out the window. He saw three people running away. The suspects did not make entry into the home.

BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 8400 block of Osman Drive, 11/18/17 around 11:53 p.m. Residents heard a loud noise and went to investigate. They saw a person inside their home who ran away when they yelled at him. No suspect description available.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 8900 block of Waldren Way, 11/17/17 around 10 p.m. A man was walking home with groceries when someone approached from behind and pressed an item to his head. The victim did not see what the item was or who was behind him. The suspect demanded money and ran off with the victim’s wallet. The victim was not injured.

ROBBERY/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Franconia Road/Frontier Drive, 11/19/17 around 12:30 p.m. An Uber driver was attacked by two unruly passengers who ran off with his iPhone and car keys. He chased them and a struggle ensued over the items. He was able to get his phone and keys back, and the suspects ran away. The victim had minor injuries. One suspect was described as a white woman in her early 20s, around 5’5”, with blonde hair. The second suspect was described as a black woman in her early 20s, around 5’8” with short black hair.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 8400 block of Old Keene Mill Road, 11/19/17 around 5:30 p.m.  The victim had just withdrawn money from a local bank and was approached by a man in the parking lot.  The man demanded money and the victim gave them an undisclosed amount of cash.  The man then left the area in a white sedan.  The suspect was described as black man between 30 to 40 years old.  He was tall with a thin build and was last seen wearing a gray cap and gray plaid shirt.  The victim was not injured and the investigation is ongoing.
