COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 6100 block of North Kings Highway, between 9:30 p.m. 12/12/17 and 7 a.m. 12/13/17. Someone broke into a business, damaged property and stole items.

THREATS BY ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION: 3301 Peace Valley Lane (J.E.B. Stuart High School), 12/13/17. Students informed administrators they saw a photo on social media that appeared to show a handgun in a student’s lap. A police investigation led to the identity of the student. Officers responded to his home to interview him. The weapon was found to be a BB gun and it was taken as evidence. The investigation is continuing to determine when and where the photo was taken. There does not appear to be any threat to the school or community. Charges are pending.
