COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 8150 Leesburg Pike (City Lending INC), 12/14/17 around 3:50 a.m. Someone entered the business and took electronics and clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 7257 Lee Highway (The Cleaning Center of Northern Virginia), 12/14/17 around 6:30 a.m. Two men entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The first suspect was described as a black man wearing dark clothing. The second suspect was described as black man wearing gray pants. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was not injured and the case is ongoing.

ROBBERY/ARREST: 5500 block of Leesburg Pike, 12/14/17 around 3:45 p.m. The victim was approached by a man who demanded money. The victim was able to waive down nearby citizens for help who called 9-1-1. Officers responded and were able to locate the suspect nearby. Deandre Davis, 36, of Falls Church, was arrested and charged with attempted robbery. He is currently being held on no bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. The victim was not injured.

Officers from the Franconia Neighborhood Patrol Unit (NPU) and Traffic Safety Services Unit conducted business compliance checks at eight businesses in the Franconia District. Six businesses were found to be in compliance and declined the sale of alcohol to our cadets. Three employees at two different businesses were cited for completing a sale.
