COMMERCIAL ARMED ROBBERY: 6200 block of Little River Turnpike, 1/8/18 around 1:45 p.m. A male armed with a handgun entered a business and demanded money. The suspect fired his gun into the floor prior to leaving the business. No one was injured by the gunfire. The case is actively under investigation.
TRAFFIC PURSUIT / ARREST: Castle Place/Leesburg Pike, 1/9/18 around 1:30 a.m. An officer saw a vehicle with an equipment violation. The officer activated his lights, but the driver accelerated away from him. During the pursuit, a bag of suspected narcotics was thrown from the vehicle and recovered by an assisting officer. The driver eventually came to a stop near Kilmer Court and Patrick Henry Drive. Ibrahim Wurie, 24, of Falls Church, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor speed to elude and possession of marijuana. No one was injured.
