ROBBERY: Backlick Road at Jayhawk Street 1/16/18, around 6:00 p.m. A community member was walking to the bus when she was approached by a man who demanded her purse and cell phone. The suspect is described as a black man, about 6 feet tall and dressed in dark clothing.
SHOOTING AT AN OCCUPIED RESIDENCE: 5700 block of Larpin Lane 1/17/18, around 10:40 p.m. Police were called after reports of shots fired near the listed address. When officers arrived, they found a residence that appeared to have been hit several times by bullets. People were home at the time, but not injured. Officers spoke with several neighbors about the case which is still under investigation.

BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 8900 block of Lake Braddock Drive, 1/17/18 around 2:30 p.m. Police were called to investigate a burglary. Details of the event are still under investigation.

6800 block of Rolling Road, 2006 Nissan Altima
POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE NARCOTICS: 13600 block of Legacy Circle 1/17/18, around 2:30a.m. Officers responded to an apartment where they were called for an unknown situation / call for help. Once there, they made contact with the caller. While checking on the welfare of the caller, illegal narcotics were observed as well as drug paraphernalia. The investigation lead to the arrest of David Michael Barrientos, 25, of South Riding. He was arrested charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
