BURGLARY: 1300 block of Beverly Road, 1/27/18, between 11:00a.m. and 2:45p.m. An office was broken into and property stolen.
BURGLARY: 1360 Beverly Road (Frank And Company CPA), between 1/26/18 at 6:00p.m. and 1/27/18 at 1:00p.m. The business was entered and property was stolen.

STOLEN VEHICLES:
7200 block of Van Ness Court, 2003 Dodge Caravan
SHOOT INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 5599 Seminary Road (Skyline Apartments), 1/27/18, around 5:20p.m. A community member called police to report something hitting the window of his apartment, possibly a bullet or other type of projectile. Officers checked the area for other apartments that may have been involved. As the officers were continuing their investigation, they found some cars may have been hit, including a police cruiser. The investigation is ongoing; however, it is believed the projectiles came from a BB gun or similar weapon.
BURGLARY: 7448 Little River Turnpike (Dollar Tree), 1/28/18, around 3:00a.m. An employee reported that a Hispanic man, appearing to be in his 30’s, 5’3” tall, and of medium build, wearing blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt was kicking the windows of the business. The man was able to break one of the windows and enter the business. The man did not take anything before he left the business.
ROBBERY: Little River Turnpike near Medford Drive, 1/28/18, around 2:30a.m. A community member was walking on a path near Medford Drive when he was approached by two people. The two people were only described as wearing dark clothing and masks. They demanded property from the victim and then pistol whipped him. The two suspects took property from the victim. The victim obtained medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

ROBBERY: 800 block of Charwhit Court, 1/26/18, around 11:00p.m. Police were called for the report a robbery. When officers arrived, they discovered that a 14-year-old boy had been assaulted and had property taken from him. The victim had been at a party in a nearby residence. He was followed by two other juveniles, a 15 and 16-year-old. The juvenile suspects were taken to the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center and charged with robbery.
GRAND LARCENY: 12197 Sunset Hills Road (Target), 01/25/18, 6:30 p.m. Officers responded to Target for a shoplifting case. Melissa Tochterman, 47, of Herndon, left the store with a cart full of unpaid merchandise. Officers reviewed video footage of Tochterman leaving the store with $690 worth of merchandise she did not pay for. She was then placed under arrest for grand larceny.

BURGLARY: 6149 Franconia Road (Liberty Gas Station), 1/28/18, between midnight and 7a.m. During the overnight hours, someone entered the gas station and stole property from the business.
BURGLARY: 7800 block of Loisdale Road, between 1/27/18 at 11:30p.m. and 1/28/18 at 6:00a.m. A trailer was entered and property was removed. Two vehicles were also vandalized and damaged.

VEHICLE TRESPASS: 4600 block of Superior Square, 1/26/18 around 5:20a.m. Officers were called to the area for the report of someone breaking into vehicles. When they arrived, they found Shane Donovan Strawderman, 22, of no fixed address, being detained by two citizens. The citizens observed the man breaking into a vehicle. Mr. Strawderman was charged with possession of burglarious tools, wearing a mask to conceal identity, and vehicle trespass. It was also discovered that he had two active warrants for burglary and destruction of property.
