FCPD RECAP Thursday, March 1
Pursuit/Burglary: On 2/26/18 units were called to the area of Braddock Road and Sully Road for a report of a Ford Ranger truck that was stolen. We located the vehicle and attempted to stop it but the driver fled. A PIT (precision immobilization technique) was used to end the vehicle pursuit but the driver ran with officers chasing him. Thomas Hamilton, 52 years old, from Chantilly, Virginia, was caught by the officers and charged with attempted burglary, possession of marijuana, reckless driving, speed to elude, and driving on a suspended license. Hamilton had two outstanding warrants for grand larceny and burglary. Other charges are pending.

TRAFFIC PURSUIT / DWI: Arlington Boulevard / Marshall Drive, 3/1/18 at 12:10 am. Bruce A. Foltz, 53, of Vienna, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, as well as other multiple traffic charges. He was also wanted for failure to appear in court. An officer spotted Foltz’s vehicle and attempted to stop it. Foltz refused to stop and a pursuit ensued. Officers were able to box in Foltz’s vehicle; ending the pursuit. No injures were reported and Foltz was taken into custody without incident.

DUI/NARCOTICS VIOLATION: 9500 block of Richmond Highway, 2/28/18 around 12:15 p.m. Officers were called after a dog was seen dragging behind a car in motion. An investigation determined the driver forgot her dog’s leash was tied to the rear of her car. She drove down the street and realized her dog was not inside the car. She returned to her original location to see if it was there, but then saw that it was attached to her bumper. Zainab Makry, 23, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of marijuana. The dog did not have any broken bones and is expected to survive.

BURGLARY: 10595 Furnace Road (Quality Services Moving), 2/27/18, at 4:50 a.m. Sutthiphong Sandod, 21, of Stafford, was arrested for burglary on Tuesday, following a call that started out as a disabled motorist. Officers responded for what was initially reported as a disabled motorist on a CSX Rail Road service road in the 10600 block of Furnace Road. While speaking to the motorist, it was learned that he had committed a burglary. Sandod was charged with trespassing and burglary.
BURGLARY: 4400 block of Roundhill Road, 2/23/18 between 8:00a.m. and 4:40 p.m. A homeowner reported electronic equipment was stolen from the residence.
