TRAFFIC PURSUIT / DWI ARREST: 2600 block of Arlington Drive, 3/4/18, at 1:00 a.m. Isaac C. Bonsu, 30, of Alexandria, was arrested and is facing several charges following a traffic pursuit. An officer observed a vehicle with an apparent equipment violation. The officer activated the emergency lights and siren on his police car to signal the driver to stop. Mr. Bonsu failed to stop and continued to drive. He eventually stopped his car, got out, and attempted to run away. Officers caught him after a brief foot chase. Bonsu is facing the following charges: DWI – 3rd offense, hit and run, disregarding an officer’s signal to stop, driving while revoked – DWI related, driving with an open container, possession of marijuana and illegal window tint.

ROBBERY: 6717 Richmond Highway (Walgreens), 3/4/18, at 9:35 p.m. A community member was walking away from the Walgreens when he encountered three men. A brief conversation ensued and the three men assaulted the man and robbed him of his money.

ROBBERY: 2973 Chain Bridge Road (7-Eleven), 3/4/18, at 3:20 a.m. A man, only described as wearing dark clothing, entered the 7-Eleven and demanded money from the clerk. The man ran from the 7-Eleven with an undisclosed amount of money.
ROBBERY: 1961 Chain Bridge road (Tyron’s Corner Mall) 3/4/18, 11:45 p.m. A community member was in the parking garage of the mall when he heard two men talking and walking behind him. One of the men, described as a black man, about 5’10” and around 165 lbs, started to run after him. He then brandished a gun and took money from the victim’s pockets before running a way. There were no injuries reported.
ROBBERY: 3053 Nutley Street (CVS), 3/2/18, at 12:10 p.m. A man entered the CVS and demanded money from the cash register. A firearm was displayed to the store employee, however, there were no injuries reported. An undisclosed amount of money was taken. The suspect is described as a black man, 6’ – 6’2”, 190 – 220 lbs, trimmed goatee facial hair, and wearing overalls.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
ROBBERY: 4300 block of Americana Drive, 3/2/18, at 2:30 p.m. A community member made arrangements to sell shoes to a person he contacted on a phone app. At the prearranged meeting time, the victim met with a person, described as a Hispanic man, approximately six feet tall, average build, and wearing a navy blue hat with a red stripe. The man brandished a gun and demanded the shoes from the seller. The suspect took the shoes and ran from the area. There was no injury reported.
ROBBERY: 6288-A Rolling Road (Asian Grill), 3/2/18, at 6:00 p.m. A 13 and 14-year-old boy were outside on the McDonald’s when they were followed by another group of people who appeared to be juveniles. The group initially asked the two boys if they had any money and later for a cell phone. After the cell phone was taken, the group left the area.
