National Crime Victims’ Rights Week: Support by Walking alongside Victims, Survivors, Family Members, and the Community
Join our Victim Services Section as we launch the 2018 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, with the 6th Annual 5K Walk and Crime Victim Tribute. For this free event, we invite crime victims, survivors, family members, friends, and the community to come out to raise awareness for victims’ rights in Northern Virginia and show their support for all victims of crime.
The 2018 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week will be commemorated April 8 to 14, 2018. This year’s theme is-Expand the Circle: Reach All Victims. The theme emphasizes the importance of addressing how the crime victims field can better ensure every victim has access to services and support. It also reminds us that law enforcement, the criminal justice system, and communities can work together to reach all crime victims.
Participants of the 6th Annual 5K Walk and Crime Victim Tribute on April 8 are encouraged to arrive at 4:30 p.m. to check in. At the conclusion of the walk, please stay as Allan McCullough of Grace Hill Church pays tribute to all victims of crime with a benediction.
