MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

DRUNK IN PUBLIC: 6720 Old Dominion Drive (7-Eleven), 4/15/18, 8:32 a.m., Officers responded to the store for a drunk man inside. When officers arrived, they found the man leaning against one of the counters and very unstable on his feet. When trying to speak with him, he became very upset. Officers attempted to place the man under arrest. The man attempted to pull his arm away losing his balance and hitting his head on a creamer dispenser causing minor injury. Officers gained control of the man and placed him under arrest. Vincent Garnett, 52 no fixed address, was charged with drunk in public.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: 1500 block of Poplar Grove Drive, 4/13/18, 9:57 p.m. A resident called to report a suspicious man trying to enter her home. When officers arrived, they saw the man standing outside the home. The man ran into the woods and was caught after a short foot pursuit. Officers located security footage of the man yelling racial slurs into the security camera and then damaging the camera. Carrick Shannon, 21, of Herndon, was charged with destruction of property, disorderly conduct, and obstruction of justice.

BURGLARY: 2303 Soapstone Drive (House of Mandarin), 4/14/18 around 12:40 a.m. Employees of a neighboring business heard glass breaking next door. Someone broke into the business and stole money.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 4800 block of Bristow Drive, 4/14/18 around 4:38 a.m. Residents woke up to the sound of their dog barking. When they checked the house, they realized their home had been entered through a window. A wallet was taken.

ROBBERY/ MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 10645 Braddock Road (McDonalds), 4/14/18, 4:40 p.m. Police were called for robbery at the McDonalds. When officers arrived, the victim stated that a man had come into the business and became upset that his food was taking too long. The man then walked around the counter and demanded money. When the manager attempted to stop him, the suspect assaulted him. The man then left the business without obtaining any money. The suspect was located a short distance away by George Mason University Police. Marcus Ford, 22, of Maryland, was arrested and charged with robbery and malicious wounding.
