SULLY DISTRICT STATION

STOLEN VEHICLE/DWI/NARCOTICS VIOLATION/ARREST: 13000 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, 4/21/18 around 1:15 a.m. An officer on patrol observed a vehicle swerve out of its lane. The officer ran the license plate and learned the vehicle was stolen. Before he was able to conduct a traffic stop, the driver of the stolen vehicle made a turn, pulled into a parking space, and ran towards a wooded area. Officers saturated the area and the suspect was found passed out behind a townhome by a K9 unit. Marlon Torres-Banegas, 18, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with grand larceny, receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, two counts of credit card theft, DWI, fleeing from a law enforcement officer, and driving without a license. Other charges are also possible.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 14000 block of Woodland Ridge Drive, 4/23/18, 1:56 a.m. Officers responded to the residence for a report of a shooting. The preliminary investigation revealed the victim came to the home to visit friends. When he walked down into the basement, a man pulled out a gun and shot at the victim causing a minor graze wound to his neck. The suspect fled from the house in an unknown direction.
