Mason District Station – A Fort Belvoir woman is facing charges after hospital staff alerted our officers a visitor was stealing medical supplies and potentially harming a patient. Officers were called to Inova Children’s Hospital last Wednesday when staff saw the woman acting suspiciously in a patient’s room. An investigation revealed Elizabeth Malone, 28, stole medical supplies. She used those medical supplies to inject an unknown substance into the victim. Investigators believe the lone victim was known to the suspect. Malone was arrested on April 25 and charged with child abuse and larceny. She is currently held without bond.
