National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day was created to address drug addiction and overdose deaths. Studies show that over 6 million Americans abuse prescription drugs, and those drugs are often obtained from family and friends.
On Saturday, April 28, Fairfax County citizens participated in the bi-annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day which allowed citizens to safely and confidentially dispose of all prescription drugs. The results were the following:
