DRUNK IN PUBLIC/ASSAULT ON A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER/ARREST: Officers were on their way to a call when they saw a man matching the description of an involved party walking outside. The man smelled of alcohol, appeared unsteady on his feet and his speech was slurred when interacting with the officers. David Giron Yanez, 36, of Alexandria, was arrested for being drunk in public, and subsequently kicked an officer multiple times. He was also charged with assault on a law enforcement officer.
