ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT: 9100 Block of Belvoir Woods Pkwy, 05/15/18, 10:22 am. Officers were called for a man making inappropriate gestures who may have assaulted someone. The man refused to leave and pushed the officers. While resisting arrest, the man spit in one officer’s face and stated he would kill them. Mr. Roger Merritt, 57, of Convent, New Jersey, was charged with two counts of Assault on Law Enforcement and Disorderly Conduct.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
CARJACKING: 6200 block of Hidden Woods Court, 05/15/18, 11:33 pm. After parking his car, the victim was approached by a man who asked for a cigarette. The man then got into the passenger side of the car, implied he had a gun, and told the victim to get out of the car. The man then drove off with the car. Officers spotted the car to the area of Tall Trees Lane, where they initiated a traffic stop and took the man into custody. Mr. Dave Loiseau, 18, of Woodbridge, was charged with carjacking.

BURGLARY: 8100 block of Ellet Road, 05/15/18, 6:17 pm. Someone entered the residence and took property.
BURGLARY: 5300 block of Anchor Court, 05/14/18, 3:13 pm. Someone entered the residence and took property.

PHONE THREATS: 4890 Alliance Drive (MPSTOC), 05/15/18, 5:24 pm. A man called to report an assault. When officers arrived the man was intoxicated, refused to press charges, and demanded the officers leave his residence. Officers took the report and left. The man then called the Fairfax County dispatch several times and cursed at the call takers. A police supervisor went to the man’s house twice to tell him he could not call and curse at the call takers. After the supervisor left, the man continued to call the dispatch center and said that if officers returned to his house he would kill them. Mr. Charles Swett, 56, of Fairfax, was charged with use of profane or threating language over the phone.
