West Springfield Police District –  A 19-year-old Fairfax man died yesterday afternoon as a result of a two-vehicle crash. Officers responded to Fairfax County Parkway and Whitlers Creek Drive for a report of a crash between a Toyota Camry and a box truck.  A preliminary investigation determined that Francis Kyung-Min Park was driving northbound on the Fairfax County Parkway when he lost control of his car for an unknown reason. The car slid sideways across the median and crashed into the box truck that was traveling in the southbound lanes. Park was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured. Detectives are still working to determine if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to contact our Crash Reconstruction Unit at 703-280-0543.
