FAIRFAX COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING FAIRFAX COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE INMATE DEATH

Detectives this afternoon are investigating an in-custody death of a 68-year-old inmate at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center (ADC). The man was found unconscious in his cell late this morning, and CPR was attempted, but unsuccessful. The medical examiner will examine the body, but preliminarily, there are no signs of foul play.

The inmate had been incarcerated at the ADC since May 9, 2018. The Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office and our department are working collectively to gather all information and to thoroughly document the situation.
