Detectives are asking anyone with information about a former Fairfax man who was recently arrested in California to come forward. Former local child care provider Brandon Genest, 27, was arrested in Walnut Creek for two counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child, three counts of indecent exposure and possession of child pornography on June 4. While living in Fairfax County, Genest marketed himself as a child care provider on social media. We have no active cases involving Genest at this time. If you believe he may have had inappropriate encounters with your child, please call our Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800.
