ASSAULT (Weapon): 3400 block of Buckman Road, 07/01/2018, 12:03 a.m. Two men were walking along Buckman Road when an older model sedan pulled alongside them. The front seat passenger asked the men a question. After hearing their answer, the front seat passenger pulled out a firearm, shot at the two victims, and quickly drove away. The two victims sustained non-life threatening injuries. The suspect and other vehicle passengers were described as black men with white t-shirts covering their face. It is believed this is a gang related event.

STOLEN VEHICLE: 6000 Block Arlington Blvd. 06/30/2018. 1:56 p.m. The victim parked her car in a parking lot to run a quick errand but left her vehicle running because her dog was inside. When the victim returned, her vehicle was missing. While an officer was taking the stolen vehicle report, he was told by a citizen someone parked the car and fled on foot. The car was located and using surveillance footage from the surrounding businesses, officers were able to get a description of the suspect. Using that description, officers located and arrested Roger Thomas, 64, of Fall Church, with Grand Larceny.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY (Carjacking): Clydesdale Rd @ Mitcham Ct., 06/30/2018. 7:13 p.m. An Uber driver picked up two men. Shortly into their trip, one of the men pulled out a gun and demanded the car. The driver hit the accelerator and tossed the suspects out the open door of the vehicle. The suspects were described as average build in their early 20s.
