FCPD RECAP, THURSDAY, JULY 5

SULLY DISTRICT STATION 

ROBBERY: 13800 block of Braddock Road, 7/04/2018, 2:30 am. The victim was trying to find a ride home from a restaurant. He saw three men in the parking lot and asked them for a ride. The men closed in on his personal space and began to rifle through his pockets. Being out numbered, he feared for his safety and he did not resist. The men took items from his pockets and left the area.  They were described as two heavy set Asian men and one skinny Asian man.

RECKLESS DISCHARGE- 12100 block of Queens Brigade Drive, 7/04/2018, 8:40 pm. A witness called 911 after seeing someone firing a gun out of a red SUV into the air. Our officers found the SUV and stopped it, finding a firearm and narcotics inside. The three boys who were inside of the SUV were arrested. Petitions for possession of marijuana, possession of tobacco by a minor, and additional charges are being sought with juvenile intake.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

MISSLE AT OCCUPPIED VEHICLE: 2600 block of Sherwood Hall Lane, 7/03/2018, 8:40 pm. The victim was driving near the 2600 block of Sherwood Hall Lane when a black Hyundai cut him off, forcing him to swerve and come to a stop next to the Hyundai. The driver of that vehicle pointed a gun at the victim who drove away.  As he did, a loud sound rang out, believed to be a gun shot. The driver was described as a Hispanic male in his 30s, with short hair, driving a black Hyundai. No casing was located at the scene but a possible graze mark was located on the victim’s car. No one was injured.

BURGLARY- 4600 block of Steadman Place, 7/03/2018, 4:45 am. The victim was asleep and woke to someone shutting her bedroom door. She shouted and her roommates came to help, cornering the subject until police arrived. No one was injured and Jairo Mena Guevara, 27, of Maryland, was arrested for burglary.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY/VEHICLE PURSUIT- 6600 block of Loisdale Road, 7/03/2018, 3:15 pm. Six women entered a business, quickly filled bags with merchandise, and then fled on foot. The group then entered another business nearby and attempted to do the same. As the group of women were leaving, they noticed an employee was following them. One of the women, Nia Eddy, turned and sprayed him in the face with pepper spray. The group then got into a car and tried to leave. An officer saw the women and attempted to stop the car, however, they quickly drove away.  While fleeing, they crashed into another vehicle and continued driving away. After a second crash, the car was inoperable and the women were arrested.  Ebony Stover, 18, Brionna Roots, 18, and Keshia Roberson, 39, all from Washington, DC, were charged with two counts of grand larceny and larceny with the intent to distribute. Alaysha Simmons, 18, of Washington, DC, was charged with speed to elude, hit and run, false identity to law enforcement, two counts of grand larceny, and larceny with the intent to distribute. Nia Eddy, 20, of Washington, DC, was charged with robbery, grand larceny, and two counts of larceny with the intent to distribute. Jai Jenkins, 18, of Washington, DC, was charged with grand larceny and larceny with the intent to distribute. Five of the six women were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries stemming from the crash. No citizens involved in the accidents were injured and the employee who was pepper sprayed was treated on the scene.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY- 7700 block of Backlick Road, between the dates of 7/02/2018 and 7/03/2018. An employee reported that someone entered the business, removed and damaged property.

STOLEN VEHICLE WITH APPREHENSION- 5600 block of Burke Centre Parkway, 7/4/2018, 7:10 am. Our officers spoke with Raymond Braxton, 27, of Burke, after being called to the area for a suspicious person. We determined that he was in the possession of a stolen vehicle as well as stolen property. The vehicle was stolen earlier in the night and a mailbox was damaged while fleeing in the stolen vehicle. Mr. Braxton was arrested and charged with auto-theft, possession of stolen goods, destruction of property, hit and run, driving on a suspended license, and served with an outstanding warrant.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY- 13200 block of Stone Heather Drive, between the dates of 7/03/2018 and 7/04/2018. A neighbor walking their dog advised someone appeared to have broken into their neighbor’s home. It was not known if anything was taken.
