PURSUIT: 6421 Richmond Highway, 07/12/2018, 9:12 pm. An officer attempted a traffic stop for traffic infractions on a rental car. The driver failed to stop and accelerated through a parking lot. During the pursuit, the suspect hit two other vehicles with his rental car. No one was injured. Our pursuit ended at the county line as the suspect drove into the City of Alexandria. This is an active criminal investigation.
BURGLARY: 7301 Lee Highway (Exxon Gas Station), 07/11/18, 3:27 am. Two people broke the door glass, entered the store, and stole the ATM machine. The first suspect was a tall, thin black male, wearing a black hoodie, black face mask, black gloves, black pants and black shoes, carrying a screwdriver. The second suspect was a tall, stocky-build black male, wearing a black hoodie, black face mask, black gloves, black pants and black shoes, carrying a yellow crowbar.
GRAND LARCENY: 1961 Chain Bridge Road, 7/11/18, 4:20 pm. The Lacoste store in Tysons Corner Center contacted police about a shoplifter. Officers located the suspect in a nearby store. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was arrested. Karlin Denzel Cooper, 27, of Baltimore, Maryland, was charged with grand larceny, possession of burglary tools, and obstruction of justice.
GRAND LARCENY: 1961 Chain Bridge Road, 7/11/18, 6:00 pm. The Apple store in Tysons Corner Center contacted police about a shoplifter in custody. Officers quickly determined that the suspect had already previously been banned from all Apple stores. The investigation revealed that the suspect had stolen numerous items from various stores inside the mall. Daniel Pinto, 58, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was arrested on 7/13/18 and charged with grand larceny.

INDECENT EXPOSURE: 7137 Columbia Pike (Giant), 07/11/18, 2:02 pm. Officers responded inside the Giant for the report of a man touching himself in front of children. The suspect is described as a black man in his early 20’s, 5’8”, and 170 pounds.
ROBBERY: 2130 Centreville Road (BB&T Bank), 07/11/2018, 1:02 pm. Officers responded to the report of a bank robbery. The suspect was described as a black male, tall and skinny, wearing dark sunglasses, a black sweater, and dark jeans.
BURGLARY: 5890 Kingstowne Center (Burger King), 07/11/18, Between 1:00 am and 3:40 am. An unknown person entered the business and stole cash from the safe.
TRESPASSING: 6400 Block of Sutcliffe Dr, 07/11/18, 1:27 pm. Officers responded for a suspicious person that was entering backyards throughout the neighborhood. While checking the area, officers located a woman inside a home. The homeowner confirmed the woman walked into their home uninvited. Mary Jane Rudy Melka Doucette, 24, of Alexandria, was arrested for trespassing, and possession of a schedule I narcotic.

BURGLARY: 2961 Hunter Mill Road (Sunoco Gas Station), 07/11/18, 2:40 am. Cash and cigarettes were stolen from the business. The two males were wearing all black clothing and black balaclavas and black gloves. On the surveillance video a small white SUV is seen in front of the bay door where they smashed a pane of glass. It appears they used a yellow crow bar to break the glass and then pry open the door into the store.
BURGLARY: 2957 Chain Bridge Road (Exxon Gas Station), 07/11/18, 3:00 am. Officers responded to the Exxon gas station for an in-progress burglary call. Officers saw the door to the business had been pried open. Two suspects were on-camera stealing the cash register, store safe, and cigarettes. The suspects were seen arriving in a white Kia Sportage vehicle. They were described as wearing all black clothing with hoodies covering their heads. This is an active criminal investigation.
