STOLEN VEHICLE: Area of Backlick Rd. and Leesville Blvd., 7/20/18, 6:00 p.m. Officers received a ‘Lojack hit’ about a stolen vehicle near Backlick Rd. and Leesville Blvd. The vehicle was located and the occupants were arrested. The driver, a 17, of Alexandria, was charged with grand larceny and driving without a license. An outstanding warrant for failure to appear was also served.
GRAND LARCENY/PURSUIT: 5800 block of Kingstowne Blvd., 7/21/18, 5:09 p.m. Officers responded to a report of two men and a woman stealing items from a store. When officers located the group, they ran away but were quickly caught. Tanesha Ford, 30, and Rayvon Williams, 23, both of Washington D.C., were charged with shoplifting. Tywone Sommers 22, of Washington D.C., was charged with shoplifting, forging public records, improper registration, false identification to law enforcement, possession of marijuana, reckless driving, eluding, and driving without a license.

BURGLARY: 5900 block of Kara Pl., 7/20/18, 8:36 a.m. A resident reported that someone broke into their home and stole guns and personal items.
DESTRUCTION/BIAS CRIME: 8800 block of Cromwell Dr., 7/22/18, 4:41 p.m. Police were called to this location for a report that someone scratched offensive words into a vehicle.
