FCPD RECAP FRIDAY, JULY 27
EMBEZZLEMENT: 3900 block of Stonecroft Blvd., 7/26/18, 9:18 p.m. An employee stated that a man was loading merchandise from inside the business into one of their trucks. Responding officers identified Troy Gray, 40, of Ashburn, in the warehouse. Gray, an employee of the business, was arrested and charged with felony embezzlement.

TRAFFIC PURSUIT: Buckman Road at Seven Woods Drive, 7/26/18, 9:38 p.m. Our officer observed a vehicle traveling south on Buckman Road at a high rate of speed with no headlights on. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle sped away. While fleeing, the vehicle’s hood opened, blocking the drivers view. The officer utilized a precision immobilization technique (PIT) maneuver to stop the fleeing vehicle. Kevin Singleton, 35, of Alexandria, was arrested for DUI, driving with a revoked license, reckless driving, and disregarding police command to stop with endangerment to others.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY: 2700 block of Arlington Dr., 7/24/18, between 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. the next day. Someone entered the property and went through the guard shack. Nothing was damaged or taken, but the individual left trash behind.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY: 3000 block of Westford View Ct., 7/26/18, between 12:00 a.m. and 2:53 a.m. A resident heard a noise in the lower level of their home and initially believed it to be a family member. A short time later, a family member returned home and discovered their front door was unlocked, which they had locked prior to leaving. The screen to their kitchen window had been removed and objects moved in the kitchen window. Nothing was taken.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: 5800 block of Richmond Hwy., 7/25/18 between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. the next day. Someone entered the business and damaged several office doors. Nothing was taken.
ANIMAL MISTREATMENT: 7900 block of Richmond Hwy., 7/26/18, 7:39 p.m. A concerned caller contacted 911 after seeing a dog left in a hot car. Animal Protection Police and Fire and Rescue Department personnel responded to remove the dog from the vehicle. The dog appeared to be unharmed.

BURGLARY: 7100 block of Eastman Dr., 7/26/18 between 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. A citizen reported that someone entered their home. Several items were taken and their property was damaged.
BURGLARY: 1900 block of Youngblood St., 7/26/18 between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. A citizen reported that someone entered their home, took cash and damaged property.
BURGLARY: 6900 block of Willow Street, 07/26/18, 04:20 a.m. A witness called 911 after observing someone enter a neighbor’s home. Responding officers arrested Catherine Jones, 23, of Mclean, as she exited the home carrying property out of it. She originally provided false information using another name. Jones was charged with burglary, petit larceny, and providing false identification to law enforcement.
